Who we are

Born and raised on the beautiful island of Kaua'i, the Aloha Spirit has shaped not only who we are, but how we treat people — no matter where life takes us. It's more than a greeting. It's a way of living with kindness, respect, and generosity.

In Hawai'i, locals use the pidgin word "choke" to describe something that's plenty. After years of training, I realized Jiu-Jitsu had something in common with home… plenty chokes. That connection sparked something deeper. Choke Aloha became a reminder that on and off the mats, we can always choose to "roll with choke aloha" — literally and figuratively.

As the new owners, our mission continues to echo the heart of the brand's original vision. We remain committed to sharing ALOHA — LOVE — from Hawai'i with the world. Whether it's through Jiu-Jitsu, through community, or simply through everyday acts of kindness, we strive to carry forward the same spirit that inspired this brand from the beginning.

Today, Choke Aloha stands as a commitment to perpetuating the Aloha Spirit. To treat others the way we want to be treated. To carry our culture with us proudly, whether we still live in Hawai'i, moved away from home, or simply fell in love with the islands and their people.
